The plot revolves around Mrs. Mavis Hooley, who notices small items disappearing daily, culminating in a theft that prompts her to hire a detective. Children are invited to assist in solving the case during a nighttime stakeout, discovering the peculiar habits of the elusive thief. Puppeteer Jenny Ellis, with over twenty years of experience, skillfully portrays multiple characters, engaging the young audience in a blend of Detective Noir, slapstick, and educational content about the intriguing bowerbird, eliciting reactions of surprise, sadness, outrage, triumph, and joy.
