Kick off NAIDOC Week by dropping in on the Durrungan Gathering, a laid-back celebration of the Darkinjung people's culture set against the stunning backdrop of Norah Head Lighthouse. Think live tunes, Indigenous dance that might have you tapping your feet (or at least nodding along), art workshops where you can get your hands a bit messy, and storytelling that's way more interesting than your usual dinner chat.

It's the kind of day where the kids can actually learn something while having fun, and adults get to soak up some history without feeling like they're back at school.
