Join the Newcastle Astronomical Society for an evening of stargazing in celebration of Science Week. Set against the backdrop of Lake Macquarie, society members will guide participants through navigating the Milky Way and beyond, sharing their passion and knowledge about the stars and universe. This event is free and welcomes all ages, although children must be accompanied by an adult. Scheduled for Saturday, August 17, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., the stargazing session is weather-dependent, so attendees should register their interest to receive notifications regarding any cancellations or rescheduling. Remember to bring a torch for navigating the park.
