A fun and educational event where libraries, schools, and other organizations around Australia read the same book at the same time. This year, participants will be reading "The Speedy Sloth" written by Rebecca Young and illustrated by Heath McKenzie. The event aims to promote the value of reading and literacy and to support and showcase Australian authors and illustrators. The book tells an inspiring story about a sloth named Spike who is determined to compete in a race despite the doubts of other sloths. The event will take place on Wednesday, May 24th, 2023 from 11:00 am to 11:45 am.
