Sculpture and art are at the heart of so much that makes us human. The Bouddi Society on the NSW Central Coast is hosting its first Bouddi Peninsula Sculpture Show during the second weekend of June to celebrate the creativity and talent of Central Coast sculptors.

This inaugural exhibition will feature thirty-one sculptors from the region with seventy-four sculptures in an array of styles, which will be made from different materials such as wood, metal, ceramics, glass and found objects. The artists are going to be showcasing up to three pieces so people can explore and start to understand the diversity of modern sculpture.

Featured artists will include:

• Rachel Bunney
• Piers Jones
• Colin Tapping
• Simon Treseder
• Gab Paananen
• John Woulfe

You’ll also be able to buy the sculptures, which will range from $100 to $10,000, and the proceeds will support the Bouddi Foundation for the Arts, which works to provide grants to emerging young artists on the Central Coast.

The show will officially be opened at 3pm on the Saturday, and everyone is welcome – this will be your chance to meet the sculptors whose work will be exhibited. The show will be open from 9am until 4pm each day.
