If you have ever wanted to explore the history of Wyong on the Central Coast, then the Wyong Town Centre Heritage Tours are for you. And Heritage Month is returning to Wyong this May.

Across four sessions during the month, you can book a ticket to explore the rich history of Wyong on a guided walking tour with the Wyong Family History Group, use a virtual reality experience or head off on a self-guided tour.

The walking tour will teach you about Wyong and its development since 1887, starting next to the train station. For 90 minutes, you will explore life in Wyong over 100 years ago, and learn about the area’s historic buildings as you head over the Pacific Highway, Alison Road and finish at the Post Office. And you can check out the photographs your guides have of the area for a great learning experience.

Once the tour is over, check out the historic signs, grab some lunch, and browse the unique stores of Wyong. Keep in mind that places are limited to twenty people for $5 each, and tickets can be redeemed for a small coffee or hot drink at one of the following cafes:
• Chapman Coffee House
• The Art House Cafe
• Little Lunch
• Fibonacci's
• Oasis Cafe on Hely

The tours run from 11am until 12.30pm and bookings are required .

Want to experience more? Head over to the Wyong Town Centre for a Virtual Reality tour, which you can do between 11am and 2pm on the days of the tour, with no booking required.

Can’t make it to the tours? No worries, you can do your own self-guided tour at any time of the year, using a digital flyer or an audio tour.
