Families looking for fun activities with their kids can enjoy a creative artmaking session at Cameron Park. Held on the first Saturday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., these free sessions offer simple art projects inspired by digital storytime and works in the museum, guided by friendly art educators. For a special event on July 6, families can participate in NAIDOC Art Play at the Sugar Valley Library and Museum, where an Aboriginal artist will help children and their families create a temporary art mural on the windows of the children's library to celebrate NAIDOC Week. Tickets are required for both adults and children, and participants are reminded to cancel if unable to attend, as there is often a waiting list. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and each session's activities will take about 45 minutes to complete.
