'Big Cats!' - A Charcoal and Ink Full-Day Workshop with Karen Bloomfield

There’s a lot for budding artists and artists of all levels on the Central Coast, from galleries to classes and other groups. On the 1st of September at the Bloomfield Gallery, local artist Karen Bloomfield is running a workshop called ‘Big Cats!’ , where participants will create images of the big cats in charcoal and ink.

During the six-and-a-half-hour workshop, Karen will teach students her techniques and methodology to create reliable and beautiful results in your art. Students will work in charcoal and ink during this workshop which has been designed to teach you how to create believable fur for any drawings of cats or other furry animals in an interesting and useful medium.

These workshops run by Karen have been described as fun, engaging, encouraging, and supportive, as well as full of great tips and knowledge to improve someone’s art practice.

The workshop runs from 10am until 4.30pm on Sunday the first of September, and costs $240 which includes paper, a reference, and most of the materials as well as morning and afternoon tea.
