It seems that the Lakes Festival this year has something for everyone, even for the runners amongst us. The Bouddi Coastal Run is part of the line-up for 2024’s Lakes Festival and is also a popular running event held on the Central Coast. This trail running event has a 14 kilometre run, a 21 kilometre run, as well as a super fun 1 kilometre beach run for the kids, which means there are options for the whole family from age 5 and over to get involved and spend your day running around bush tracks and beaches on the sunny Central Coast as summer begins to creep into being in the early weeks of November.

Bouddi and the Central Coast are located 90 minutes north of Sydney, which makes it a delightful day trip as well. The running trail takes you along a scenic track where you can see the stunning coast as you traverse the trail that offers an array of terrain, from smooth trails to cliff tops and hills and wide sandy expanses as well as rocky landscapes. This is a perfect way to experience the outdoors and the beauty of the Central Coast – running while you get to see views of Putty Beach, Gerrin Point, Maitland Bay, Bouddi Point and Bombi Point with cliff top views of the natural Marine Park.
