Central Coast Film Festival from website
The Central Coast is surrounded by mountains and oceans, and is a short drive from Sydney, and is a growing hub for the arts. This includes the
Central Coast Film Festival , that celebrates innovative storytelling and exceptional filmmaking. Australia has a long history of filmmaking, from the 1906 film ‘The Story of the Kelly Gang’, which was the first feature film, to 1913’s ‘The Life of a Jackaroo’, which was shot on location on the beautiful Central Coast. It was also the location of ‘A Blue Gum Romance’ in the same year.
Ever since then, the rugged coastline of the Central Coast and its bushland have provided the backdrops for many movies. And the Central Coast’s own film festival at Cinema Paradiso at Ettalong Beach is here. It is a festival that wants to discover, honour and celebrate filmmakers in a global program of feature films and short films with authentic storytelling and fantastic filmmaking. It’s one of many film festivals around, and each one will have its own intriguing focus.
What the Central Coast Film Festival wants to do is create an iconic cultural event on the Central Coast that will bring profound experiences to life for viewers and creators. So come and check out the Central Coast Film Festival which will be running from the 23rd of November until the 30th of November, with a red carpet event and in-person screenings of some interesting movies – check out the
lineup here, and find more information on the website to capture your interest and imagination as you gear up for this event.
Most importantly, keep an eye on the website and relevant social media platforms for updates that will celebrate the film and story.
