In the days before Christmas hits the Central Coast, carols and community gatherings sprout up in parks, churches, and whatever local spots they can commandeer. You get live music that ranges from angelic to slightly off-key, candlelit moments where everyone sways like theyre in a low-budget movie, nativity scenes with kids dressed as lopsided sheep, and family activities to keep the little ones from staging a pre-holiday meltdown.
