From 16 to 23 December, the Central Coast's Christmas Lights Trail turns local neighbourhoods into a friendly glow-off, with folks going all out on their home displays. Its a free wander at your own speed, whether youre cruising by car or stretching your legs after dinner.

Hot spots like Woongarrah, Terrigal, Wamberal and Green Point tend to steal the show, though you might spot some hidden gems elsewhere. Kids get a kick out of the twinkly chaos, and its low-key enough that even the adults can pretend theyre judging the neighbourhood light wars.
