Want to be part of the vibrant and colourful LGBTQIA arts and culture community on the Central Coast? Then you’ll want to check out Coastal Twist festival during the first week of October. This festival is full of surprises and playful, profound fun as the community comes together to learn more about LGBTQIA arts and culture. Those involved come from the Central Coast, New South Wales, and the whole of Australia as invited artists, thinkers and innovators present work that entertains and expands what we know, allowing our community to become a more tolerant and welcoming place.

Come enjoy the magic across a range of activities throughout this festival, working to deliver an inclusive event on the Central Coast, to make it a happier, healthier and more welcoming place for everyone, which is the mission of the Coastal Twist festival.
Each year, Coastal Twist has a different theme – and the 2024 theme is Rise and Shine, and calls for everyone to rise above exclusion, and encourage people to attend this fabulous festival and its communities. It will take place across multiple locations on the Central Coast, with a range of free and ticketed events for all ages and abilities to ensure the theme of inclusion. So whether you attend something at Woy Woy, Ettalong Beach, Gosford or Umina Beach, there is sure to be something for you.

Come and check out an accessible, contemporary arts and culture festival that celebrates everything that is vibrant, colourful and fun about the community. Check out theatre, cabaret, live music, film, dance, events for teens and 55+ fun, or have a beach picnic and check out a cool exhibition.

This is a fun-filled festival for people from all walks of life, championing equality, visibility and inclusion for all. Coastal Twist welcomes everyone – however you identify and wherever you come from, because this is about getting people together to celebrate the rich biodiversity of the planet and everything we love about our community.
