Gosford Regional Library Community Day from Central Coast Libraries website
It’s been months in the making, but now, the new Gosford Regional Library is complete and due to reopen in the coming days to the public. To celebrate the opening, there is going to be a
grand reopening and community day on the sixth of September. Come along at any time between 9.30am and 4pm to check out this new space to learn, create, connect and read. Where books are brought to life and celebrated in this new space that is perfect for the whole family and that is sure to have something for everyone.
At this all-ages event, there will be story time for kids, with a special bilingual session. If robotics is your thing, there will be a space for this, as well as a space for tabletop gaming.
Creative minds can check our drop-in workshops to create a ‘to be read’ jar or a diamond art bookmark. Not only that, but there will be a magic show, and you’ll get to see all the amazing new spaces at the new library. These are fresh, purpose-built areas, with new technology and so many opportunities to explore, imagine and connect.
The new library is located at 123A Donnison Street in the heart of the city, and you can get public transport there or park nearby, but the council is urging everyone to use public transport or active travel to support a greener Gosford.
