Grug in Grass downloaded from Art House website
Bring the kids along to
Grug on the 5th of August at the Art House. This Windmill Theatre Production is based on the picture books by Ted Prior, beloved by many for almost 50 years.
When the top of a Burrawang tree fell to the ground, it began to change. Eventually, it became known as the beloved character called
Grug, whose stories have charmed generations of children. Now,
Grug has been turned into a puppet to bring Grug’s stories from the iconic picture books to the stage. This allows audiences to join Grug on his adventures in a new and invigorating way.
Join Grug, Snoot the Echidna, and crabby Cara the Carpet Snake in their adventures, allowing audiences to enter Grug’s burrow, help him grow cabbages, and learn to dance while they explore this new world in a theatre show designed especially for children and fans of Grug of all ages.
This production is presented at the Art House by Windmill Theatre Company, and
Grug will be a smash-hit production that introduces an iconic Australian character to a new generation.
There will be two productions on the 5th of August at 9.30am and 11am, and it will run for 35 minutes, with no interval. It is suitable for children and audiences aged two and over. The theatre warns that the production may contain loud sound effects and sudden lighting changes, and for accessible or wheelchair bookings, please call the Box Office.
The production will take place in the Studio, which is General Admission and non-assigned seating.
