Based on the cult classic film, tells the story of Veronica Sawyer, a senior at the fictional Westerberg High who yearns to be part of the popular clique led by the ruthless . After using her forgery skills to help the avoid detention, Veronica gains entry into their exclusive group but soon becomes disillusioned by their cruel behavior towards her former friends. Her life takes a darker turn when she becomes involved with the enigmatic new student Jason Dean (JD). An innocent mix-up leads to Heather Chandler's accidental poisoning, and JD persuades Veronica to fake Heather's suicide. The show, which contains mature themes, requires that anyone under 16 be accompanied by an adult.
