The heart and jewel of the Coastal Twist Festival is the Coastie Carnie Fair Day , which is on the 6th of October at Peninsula Recreation Precinct from 10am until 5pm. This is a vibrant and colourful celebration where everyone is welcome, wherever you come from. Come one and all to this day that will be filled with art, entertainment, food, shopping and pets. Coastie Carnie Fair is a culturally rich experience for all ages and takes place at the stunning Peninsula Recreation Precinct at Umina Beach.

Following 2023’s success with 9,000 locals, visitors, families, friends and furry companions, where they all created unforgettable moments of joy and connection, 2024 looks to deliver much of the same. 2024 will be the 4th Fair Day, where everyone is invited to join in to soak in an inclusive atmosphere as we all celebrate diversity in all its forms: sexuality, abilities, ages, genders and cultures.

The best thing is that you can bring whoever you want to this day filled with activities, bespoke makers markets, international cuisine to indulge in, and dancing to live entertainment. The live entertainment will feature spectacular headliners, and you’ll find a tantalising array of international foods at the food market. If you’re after more, head on over to the pop-up bar that features local favourites – there is sure to be something for everyone.

You can also explore the themed hubs – YAAS Teen Hang safe spaces and a rainbow family zone. You won’t want to miss the pop-up market either which will offer handcrafted treasures, vintage finds, and gourmet delights. You’ll find joy in engaging with the community stalls that are filled with activities, connections, and valuable information.

And we haven’t forgotten about the pets. Register your furry friend for the Puparazzi Pooch Parade where you can compete for exciting prizes. You’ll need to bring your own chairs, hats, and rugs to set up for a full day of relaxation and enjoyment. This year’s Coastie Carnie Fair promises to be another unforgettable community celebration filled with spirit and cultural diversity.
