Not only is Gosford Regional Gallery a fabulous place to go to explore art and new artists, and the Japanese Gardens, but it also hosts
art classes throughout the year. Term three is about to start at the end of July, and there are classes on offer for children and adults across a wide range of areas of art. Children’s classes will be held after school.
Adult classes
The
Water Colours with Monika class starts on the 29th of July and runs until the 16th of September. It runs for three hours on a Monday morning and is suitable for all levels, and students will learn a range of techniques and approaches to the medium. There is also an
intermediate watercolours class for those ready to go to the next level.
For illustrators, Monika is running an
Illustration and Storytelling class to help you learn your style and techniques as well as introduce students to a range of storytelling processes during this class.
Or, you could join the
Central Coast Botanical Art Group , where you can learn about botanical drawing and painting through sharing and discussion. Or you could take part in the
Flora and Fauna Basics with Molly Gill, and learn about different techniques, mediums, and materials, with all levels welcome and tuition tailored to the needs of each student.
If you want to develop your
Develop Expression in your Painting , then the class with Jon Ellis might interest you, as you can develop your own style. Alternatively, you could attend
Developing your art in colour, watercolour, and acrylic – make sure to check the class and its level is right for you. And finally, you can also attend a
Develop your drawing class as well!
There are two Approaches to Drawing
Beginners and
Intermediate both with Monika Diak. The beginner's class starts with the basics and builds skills and techniques, whilst the intermediate class will build on the basic skills and introduce colour.
Another class you can attend is a class called
Understanding Visual Language , and this class can help you become a more confident artist.
