The Words on the Waves Festival is back for 2026 from the 27th of May to the 1st of June. There will be lots going on, and there are also other things happening in relation to the festival.

The main festival locations are:
- Umina Surf Lifesaving Club
- Ocean Beach Surf Lifesaving Club
- Festival Marquee at the Peninsula Recreation Precinct.

More information will be announced in the months to come, so keep an eye on the Words o the Waves website for information, or sign up for email updates to stay informed.

Key dates are:

19th of February – Early Bird Pass release, and author line-up release.
18th March – Opening address line up and ticketing release.
25th March – Festival Program and ticketing release.
1st April – The Dip Program and ticketing release.
8th of April – Book launch program release
10th April – Family Fun Day program release.

27th May -1st June – The Festival!
