This event is a distinctive Australian event spanning 10 kilometers of breathtaking coastline, created in partnership between the Aboriginal peoples and broader communities of Darkinjung Country. This free, day-long celebration brings together individuals from various cultural backgrounds to connect through walking, embracing Aboriginal culture, live music, art exhibitions, and sculptures. Aiming to foster connections among people and with the land, the event celebrates life, creativity, and deep Aboriginal history, promoting harmony and inclusivity within the vibrant multicultural community of Darkinjung Country. Held on the Saturday nearest the winter solstice, coinciding with the whale migration, the event starts with an opening ceremony the night before. Participants can enjoy the walk at their own pace, experiencing a range of cultural activities, and have the option to drive or use a free shuttle bus between Terrigal and Macmasters.
