In a workshop aimed at budding authors aged 8-12, participants will delve into the world of ghost story writing. Held on Thursdays after school during Term 4 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm, this creative writing endeavor takes on a chilling twist, perfectly timed for Halloween. Over the course of five weeks, young writers will focus on crafting eerie characters, weaving narratives filled with suspense and dread, and creating spine-tingling tales suitable for late-night campfire storytelling. This immersive experience is available for a fee of $75 for the full five weeks. The workshop will be guided by Sharon Baldwin, a local children's author and the publisher behind Loose Parts Press. Sharon's recent editing work includes the forthcoming middle-grade novel "The Lost Ghosts of Lawson," set amidst the captivating landscapes of the Blue Mountains, showcasing her deep appreciation for horror and mystery genres.
