MAP, mima will be screening a heartwarming movie about the space race to celebrate Science Week. The film, "The Dish," focuses on the pivotal role played by a dish in outback Australia in broadcasting the moon landing on July 20, 1969, to a global audience of 600 million people. While it was a small step for man, it represented a giant leap for a group of Australian scientists, capturing a moment that almost didn't happen. General admission is $8 plus a booking fee, Lake Mac Arts members pay $7.20 plus a booking fee, and a family ticket for four is available for $20 plus a booking fee. Each ticket includes snacks and a warm drink.
